The present subjunctive: valer and salir

We form the present subjunctive of the verbs valer (to be worth, to cost) and salir (to leave, to go out) by replacing the -er or -ir of the infinitive with -ga, -gas, -ga, -gamos, -gáis and -gan:

Valer en
Yo valga
Tú valgas
Él/ella/usted valga
Nosotros/as valgamos
Vosotros/as valgáis
Ellos/ellas/ustedes valgan
Salir en
Yo salga
Tú salgas
Él/ella/usted salga
Nosotros/as salgamos
Vosotros/as salgáis
Ellos/ellas/ustedes salgan

No sé si valga la pena esperar.

I don't know if it's worth the wait.

Espero que salgas pronto.

I hope you get out soon.
