Verbs ending in -ir that are conjugated like ouvrir (to open) in the present tense
Some verbs, such as ouvrir (to open), couvrir (to cover), offrir (to offer, to give), souffrir (to suffer) and verbs derived from these, end in -ir but are conjugated in the same way as verbs ending in -er:
